Be Kind

My Friday Five. Five things I've been implementing and exploring this week.

Show I'm watching:

Dear...

Documentary series on Apple+ called Dear... is inspiring, heartwarming and mind-blowing. Icons, celebrities and leaders read letters written by people from around the world that have been influenced by that icon. They give context and interview the icon as well as the letter writer. Their struggles and successes lift you up and make you want to be better to those around you. Pick someone from the episodes that you are drawn to and you will want to go back and watch all the others. It's another beautiful lesson that our words and actions impact people everyday. We may never know the incredible things they go on to do with their life, but many of those incredible things are documented here. Even the Big Bird episodes dropped my jaw at the impact on so many kids. The things we say and the kindness we show matters.

Success Story:

A patient I haven't seen in years came in last night. I had seen her son a few times for severe anxiety. I remember him and always hoped he had found some peace. I often mention not knowing how patients do after they stop coming in and how great it is to hear they are doing well. It is wonderful to hear the sessions he did with me helped him move forward, make better decisions and heal. He made all the hard choices to improve his life and perhaps she's giving me more credit than deserved. I will say it is a blessing to be part of the process!

Quote I'm meditating on:

"Be kind to the past version of yourself that didn't know the things you know now."

Product I'm using:

Senalis Serum

I have been using Senalis for about year on my face. I mix it with Swiss apple stem cells and herbal collagen. It is a hyaluronic acid product that helps draw in moisture to your skin. The stem cells and collagen help promote healthy skin and regeneration. Even with six major surgeries in three years I think my skin looks better than it did last year. Next up...before photos as I begin micro needling. I'll keep you posted!

Music I'm listening to that makes me happy:

Lovely Day by Bill Withers

This song is NOT Love You, Babe like I have sung for decades!

Photo is of the back of my camera during a macro photography workshop.. Thank you Rebecca Flores and @neighborhoodmediaarts for an incredible weekend.

ps I do not have any affiliation with the products mentioned. I like them and want you to know about them.
